Just before Covid hit I gave a talk to this wonderful Women's Institute group of ladies.
Back then the talk was about my Peruvian adventure.
Invited back last year, I couldn't make the date as it coincided with the funeral of my Dad.
Dad had died in January, aged 92.
Anew date had been quickly confirmed and so I drove down the M40, after dropping boxes of children's books off at Mum's.
Arriving at Hanney Village Hall, invited into the large room to prepare for the talk, ladies started arriving and many were laden with gifts!
Cuddly toys for Toys4Life!
Children's books for The Children's Book Project!
Goosebumps and tears, I was thrilled by their kindness.
Thank a million to the wonderful ladies of the Hanney WI.
