60 Miles in September ACORNS CHILDREN'S HOSPICE - Green Birding and Olaf the Snowman

60 Miles in September for Acorns Children's Hospice

OK, let's do this. Cycle, swim or walk. Have lots of fun - be Olaf the Snowman, be Alex the Acorn! Wear my green wig or bright orange hat!

All in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice.

At Acorns Children’s Hospice we offer a network of specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families. We are there wherever and whenever they need us, in the hospice, community and at home. Our services include short breaks for children at our hospices, therapeutic and psychosocial support, support for siblings and other family members, emergency and end of life care and bereavement support.

Our care is tailored for each individual child and designed to meet all their clinical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs. In the past year, we have supported over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families across the West Midlands, including those who have been bereaved.

So with a JustGiving page set up all I need to do is 60 miles!

  1. Hey Gary ... I am the 365 Days of Birds birding guy, who also loves to bicycle. Thanks for having reached out recently on my own blog. This effort of yours is fantastic, and if you could somehow utilize any of my photographs of "acorn woodpeckers" for your fund raising effort, they are yours! Here are two images, but I have many more ... https://www.365daysofbirds.com/2024/11/04/tucson-time-birding/

This fund raising effort of your is fantastic, and given I don't believe you have any Acorn Woodpeckers in the UK, you are welcome to use any of my photos of this bird w/o charge. 3. Hey Gary, thanks for commenting via my own birding blog. Your fund raising quest is fantastic. However, I doubt there are any Acorn Woodpeckers in the U.K. Thus feel free to use any of my acorn woodpecker images to support your birding, biking, and fun raising goals! I have many other acorn images, but here are two ..https://www.365daysofbirds.com/2024/11/04/tucson-time-birding/
