BIKING BIRDER I June 24th 2010 Over the Hills and Far Away - towards Hodbarrow RSPB Reserve

June 23rd 2010

Next day got to Ambleside, then Coniston via a hilly cycle path where I met Pete, a sustainability scientist and his wife. They kindly gave a big bottle of water and a donation for the RSPB, placed into the Robin collection box, placed on the front of the bike.

Yew Tree Tarn was totally dried up so onward to Millom and, once I had arrived at Hodbarrow RSPB Reserve, I enjoyed the lovely sight of watching four, possibly eighteen year old teenagers. Two girls and two boys could be watched from my camping position, on a ridge at the back of an old quarry. As the sun went down, they … played hide and seek using their mobiles.

"Where are you?"

“On the beach!”

Sweet!
