First butterfly of the year, a Peacock
In preparation for the soon to be cycling adventure, Biking Birder VII, staring on the first of April, I need to get my legs fitter and stronger.
Being 68 years old it is getting harder to stay fit and taking daily walks along the lanes and up and down the hills near to Mum's house in the village of Romsley, North Worcestershire, will be a great way to get into a state fit enough to cycle from the Black Country Acorns Children's Hospice to Malaga, Spain.
So lucky that Mum, now 92 years old, lives in such a beautiful area, so close to Birmingham yet so rural.
Birds counted of course and checklists of them will be put onto eBird.
Today I am putting the photos and eBird checklists from both March the first and March the third . . .
