A Fifty Mile Cycle Day

Monday 28th November Almost no wind

sunny, cool, 4C, very light drizzle for ten minutes - lovely rainbow.

What a difference a week and a rest makes as I feel confident about cycling fifty miles today.
Good old Durham has got more cycle paths so I can listen to music on the ipod and sing the miles away.
Not a lot happens along the way and the riding is reasonably easy. Birds are few and far between with corvids and Winter thrushes to the fore.
Past Darlington's football ground, the road heads south then west and over the attractive River Tees

Views over fields have The Pennines distantly to the west and The Yorkshire Moors to the east. The lightest drizzle brings forth a high rainbow as the sun sets.
