BIKING BIRDER I March 16th 2010 Dunster Castle, Church Village and England's tallest Tree!

16th March 2010

Woodman, Spare that Tree     [Phil Harris]

Feeling better than I had for some time, I walked over a heath covered ridge and down into the beautiful town of Dunster.

After visiting a beautiful local church and the large castle . . .

. . .  I walked further along the road to find England's tallest tree, a Douglas Fir, measuring in at sixty metres tall.

I was all alone at the Tall Tree place with a tree taller than Trafalgar Column, so it said on the plaque there. Lots of Siskins were stinging about.

5.3 miles

430 feet up      and down
